We highly appreciate the support from all New Dawn Stakeholders and friends. 2014 started off well for the rugby team after it received donation towards the purchase of full rugby kit. Our boys were highly motivated and promise to take the team to greater heights this rugby season and future outings.

The NDEC rugby team has and will participate in various tournaments and friendly matches this 2014 season. The following is a breakdown of the matches played (or events anticipated)

1. Alliance High school 7s tournament ( 18th and 19th Feb. 2014). Out of 40 teams, NDEC rugby team emerged second overall after playing with St. Peters – Mumias High School in the Main Cup finals. The boys received certificates for that effort.

2. Muhuri Muchiri High School (Ruai –Nairobi) 10s and 7s friendly matches. Our boys displayed quite an impressive game and won the 10s finals but beaten in the 7s final.

3. Nakuru 10s tournament ( 18th April 2014)

4. 20th – 26th April – At Ngong for a rugby training camp.

5. May 2014 – Nairobi County schools rugby competitions

6. June 2014 – Black Rock annual tournament.

With the team fully equipped with uniforms, the greater challenge remains the inconvenience of hiring public service vehicles (PSV) to attend the matches at various locations. The need to hire an external coach ( at a fee ) to train our boys. Lastly, we yet to fully get enough funds to offer our players a proper balanced diet.

Future expectations

We look forward to elevating, introducing and developing other sporting activities in the institution. Already, the soccer teams for both genders have started serious training in preparations for Nairobi County sports competitions from May 2014. Thanks to Larry warren and friends who helped purchase team uniforms, balls, training materials and even provide a volunteer football coach. Among the games to be introduced in future include; badminton, Chess, scrabbles, table tennis and droughts. We look forward to receive your continued support, partnership and prayers towards the success of the sports department in our institution. God Bless you all.

New Dawn hopes to stem the tide of HIV/AIDS infections by positively influencing children (ages 5-8), pre-teens (ages 9 – 12) and teens (ages 13 -18) with knowledge and attitude towards sexuality. Since majority of infections are through sexual involvement, a Godly and responsible sexual orientation will mean abstinence before marriage and faithfulness in marriage. This will guarantee an infection-free society unless through the non-sexual ones.

Our Partners

We would not be where we are without our partners, thus we must recognize them whenever we tell our story.
