ANGAZA PROGRAM
(13-15 Year Olds)
Welcome to Angaza!
Angaza means ‘to illuminate’, in Swahili.
Angaza, is our advanced 2-year program tailored specifically for teens aged 13-15yrs.
This isn't just another teens program; it's a dynamic journey of growth, empowerment, and transformation.
Why We Do It:
Angaza is more than just a series of classes—it's a holistic life skills-based program that embraces a process learning approach.
Through hands-on activities, interactive sessions, and immersive experiences in the field, teens have the opportunity to learn by doing, fostering deeper engagement and understanding.
Our Bible-based program covers a wide range of topics that are not only relevant but essential to the modern teenage experience, such as:
Exploring identity and sexuality
Developing interpersonal skills
Navigating the complexities of social media
Working through modern family dynamics.
Angaza equips teens with practical tools and insights to thrive in today's fast-paced world.
How We Do It:
The New Dawn Mentorship Angaza Curriculum © is delivered by a trained and vetted Facilitator.
A typical group consists of 6-8 single sex teens.
The group meets monthly over a period of 2 years.
The monthly session takes place at recommended venues so as to create a nurturing and safe environment that compliments their lessons.
The Angaza program goes beyond mere knowledge transfer.
We recognize that traditional "information-based" approaches often fall short when it comes to driving real change.
That's why our program is designed to inspire not just knowledge and attitude change, but, more importantly, behavior change.
By creating a supportive and empowering environment, Angaza empowers teens to translate their learning into meaningful action, both in their personal lives and within their communities.
Our aim is to curate a space where teens can engage in open discussions, develop critical life skills, build healthy relationships with their peers, and actively participate in serving the community in love.
What to Expect:
Together, we'll journey towards a brighter future—one where each teen is empowered to live out their faith and make a positive impact in the world around them.
Angaza also incorporates immersive community service sessions where two or more groups come together to engage in community service and/or life skill sessions.
These sessions facilitate cross-pollination of ideas and experiences. There will be 2 community service sessions every year, providing opportunities for collaborative learning and growth.
New Dawn Mentorship is dedicated to instilling godly principles and Christ-like values in the hearts and minds of the teens who join our programs.
Angaza embodies this commitment by integrating biblical perspectives into every aspect of the program, guiding teens toward a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.
